Communicating with a Mediator

Neutral Party

Since the mediator is a neutral party, following effective mediation strategy, it is recommended that both parties be copied on all communications. This also applicable to texting.

Texting

While you may text me if you are running late for an appointment, please adhere to the mediator communication guidelines and avoid texting substantive information. Instead, for any details regarding your case, please email me, copying your spouse, as part of an effective mediation strategy that ensures clarity and consistency.  If you are concerned about the confidentiality of email, please ask me to establish a confidential client portal for your exclusive use.

Acceptable Formats

For an effective mediation strategy, it is preferred if email attachments are sent in PDF, Word, or Excel format.

Communication with the Court

We may copy you when communication with Court, but please do not reply to the Court directly. Instead, email us separately; we will handle the correspondence with the Court.
