Communicating with a Mediator

Neutral Party

Since the mediator is a neutral party, following effective mediation strategy, it is recommended that both parties be copied on all communications in accordance with mediator communication guidelines. This also aligns with the texting mediator rules to ensure transparency.

Texting

While you may text me if you are running late for an appointment, please adhere to the mediator communication guidelines and avoid texting substantive information. Instead, for any details regarding your case, please email me, copying your spouse, as part of an effective mediation strategy that ensures clarity and consistency.

Acceptable Formats

For an effective mediation strategy, it is preferred if email attachments are sent in PDF, Word, or Excel format, as outlined in the mediator communication guidelines and complying with texting mediator rules.

Communication with the Court

We may copy you when communicating with the Court as part of our effective mediation strategy. Please do not reply to the Court directly. Instead, follow the mediator communication guidelines and email us separately; we will handle the correspondence with the Court according to the texting mediator rules.
