With over 43 years of legal practice, Greg specializes in divorce mediation services and family law mediation. He has mediated thousands of divorce cases, helping families across Kansas find amicable solutions outside of courtroom battles. His extensive experience ensures clients receive professional and compassionate guidance. Sometimes cases are simple; at other times, they are complex.
Greg's mediation practice, known throughout Kansas, as Kincaid Mediation, is divided into two areas. Most of his work involves helping individuals who do not have lawyers actively involved in their divorce, commonly referred to as 'Pro Se.' For Pro Se families, Greg meets with both spouses, helps them reach agreements, prepares all court-required documents, and submits them to the court for approval. Typically, this takes about three meetings over 60 days. Clients can start this process by following the scheduling tab above to arrange a free initial consultation to explore the costs and benefits of a mediated divorce.
Greg operates a virtual office and is able to work with any Kansas resident anywhere in the State as long as they have access to a computer or cell phone. Thanks to advancements like Zoom and DocuSign, most cases can be processed from your current residence, without having to visiting a lawyer's office or go to court.
By reducing my overhead costs, I have been able to pass some of that saving on to clients. I have reduced my hourly rate from $500 to $390 an hour.
The second group of families Greg assists includes those with attorneys already involved. These families come to Greg for his divorce mediation services because the attorneys have been unable to reach a satisfactory settlement, and the clients wish to avoid the costs and unpredictability of a trial. This is referred to as 'Attorney Assisted Mediation.' These cases can only be scheduled by the involved attorneys and are occasionally ordered by the court. They are typically conducted in person at one of the lawyer's offices. They can also take place on Zoom if all parties agree.
